William Arthur Ward, said: “Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you. “ How true, isn’t it? Encouragement is such a positive reinforcement in our lives. And quite often we don’t get enough of it, especially if we’ve gone out of our way to do good, walk the extra mile, say the right word, or invested time in another persons life. And we get discouraged, wondering if it’s worth it, whether its time to stop, to quit, to move on…. If that’s you, I want to encourage you with beautiful words from Scripture. Here’s the first one: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Gal.9:6 NLT) And the second: “…know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Cor.15:58b KJV) So be encouraged today. Continue the good work. Be inconvenienced for good. Be that Good Samaritan, hurting people around you desperately need.
