History of CAP

The Church at Powai (CAP) was founded in April 1997 by Rev. Dr. Cecil Clements and his wife Sheila Clements.  After completing their studies (He, in Theology and she in Counselling—both from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky, US) they returned to India in October 1996 and started the church in their home in Powai.  Since then the church has moved through six locations as the Lord has increased its numbers and is currently located within an Industrial complex in Vikhroli west.

God has birthed the following ministries out of CAP during these years and it is with great excitement and anticipation that we continue to allow Him to lead, trusting His word that says: “And I, if I am lifted up above the earth, will draw all men unto myself.” (John 12:32)
