A joyful noise, one that swells with pleasure and delight is easily a reaction during good times. When counting these good times or moments, you may find most to be associated with memories of accomplishments, days of happiness and moments of gladness. While it is very easy to be gladdened by the occurrence of something favourable or good, the Psalmist does not recommend making a joyful noise unto the Lord only when you are in a place of happiness.
A continual spirit of joy navigates away from the road of suffering and narrows down on the final result of what God is doing in your life.
It’s possible that your delayed train isn’t departing from the station because someone’s praying to reach in time to board it. The flight you missed and are complaining about may not have contributed to
a comfortable journey. The heavy rain you’re praying against may not be stopping in order to prevent drought in certain areas. Making a joyful noise isn’t as difficult as it seems. It’s just a matter of focusing on the unseen, the bigger plans God has, and asking God to help calm your spirit and help you experience joy irrespective of
the circumstances
So, make a joyful noise unto the Lord and don’t stop till the walls of your Jericho come crumbling down!
